Xact Xpressions prides itself on providing our customers with the very best finished product. However, a graphic designed for full-color imprinting on a catalog or for use on a Web site may not be what's required for embroidery or a three-dimensional product in one color. Artwork is considered "ready" when it can be used for prepress and printing without the need for modifications that might incur extra charges or cause delays. We will review your artwork and inform you if any additional charges may be necessary.
Silkscreening
An electronic file must be provided. All files must be created in approved professional graphics software. Files saved without vector data or from unapproved software are not considered Production Ready Artwork. We require that art be created in a vector file format, such as Adobe Illustrator®, and saved in EPS format. We must have a "high resolution" file (300 dpi) to make the very best screens for your silkscreened items.
Business cards, letterheads, faxes and laser prints are NOT acceptable. PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Publisher, JPEG, GIF, WMF, and page layout files (Quark, PageMaker, InDesign) are not considered Production Ready Artwork. However, we can re-create them in the correct artwork resolution for $95.
Embroidery
An electronic file must be provided. Embroidery requries a unique file format, not created by a typical graphics software. We use only Tajiima format DST files. There will be a minimum charge of $50.00 to create your embroidery digital file based on $10.00 per 1000 stitches in your design. After your file has been paid for, we will gladly mail you a copy at your request within 6 months. Please include your original order number with your request.
If you prefer to use your own DST file, we will gladly do so, but cannot guarantee the quality of finished design.
